451 players entered the $5,000 Mixed Holdem event.
This worked out well for sometimes PokerWire reporter Amnon Filippi who took the under on a line of 642 with several players on side bets last night.
There's a total prize pool of $2,255,000. Kind of. The WSOP gets a nice $135,000 cut from that. $40,590 is allotted for the "dealer/staff toke." First place will be $536,287. And 5th place will make less than Harrah's.
In other news, if you want to play tomorrow's event you should probably get in line now. You won't have to look too hard for it since it begins at the main entrance to the convention center. The Casino Employee's $500 event was pushed back to 6:00 pm because people had been waiting in line for over four hours...and still weren't inside the Amazon Room yet.
