During Event 18 ($5,000 Limit Hold'em), Chris Ferguson took time in between hands to read about Allen Cunningham's bracelet win from the night before. Cunningham won Event 13 ($5,000 Pot Limit Hold'em) for his 5th WSOP bracelet.

Lex Veldhuis raised to 17k from the cutoff, Michael Mizrachi called from the small blind, and the flop came KQJ. Mizrachi checked to Veldhuis who bet 24k. Mizrachi raised to 50k and Veldhuis pushed in for an additional 37.5k. Mizrachi called and the players showed:

The turn and river came 37 and Veldhuis took the pot doubling his stack to 218.5k. After the hand Mizrachi had 105k in chips.

Alan Goehring raised to 4k from under the gun, David Benyamine reraised to 10.5k from the button, and Seat 6 reraised again from the big blind. Goehring folded and Benyamine called all in. The players turned up:
